Anirudh Kanisetti is a public historian who specialises in ancient and medieval India, and the complex lessons they hold for the 21st century.Anirudh’s work straddles history, technology, geopolitics, and popular culture. He has received grants from Princeton University, where he worked on natural language processing for Old Kannada; and from the India Foundation for the Arts, where he worked on Indo-Portuguese art objects. Anirudh was formerly an Associate Fellow at the Takshashila Institution, where he focused on China Studies and high-technology geopolitics.
He is a columnist with ThePrint and writes occasionally for The Hindu, Open Magazine, The New Indian Express, and Hindustan Times among others.
